The Medford Lakes Farmer's Market Committee would like to thank its supporters for helping make the market possible over the last two years. We have thoroughly enjoyed the friendships developed, the company of our neighbors, and the chance to support the local farm community. Unfortunately this year we again experienced resistance from a select few and were unable to secure Borough Council approval for the closure of Trading Post Way,
a necessity for the viability of the market.
We hope those who enjoyed the market will continue to support the local farmers and artisans as well as the many community groups that participated. For information on other community farmer's markets in our region please visit the Jersey Fresh website. There are also many wonderful farm operators within a few miles of Medford Lakes
that market their products onsite.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the residents of Medford Lakes and surrounding communities that attended the market, our participating vendors, those Council members and the employees of Medford Lakes who supported our vision, and our many business sponsors. Lastly, we thank our volunteers for their dedication to this community event and the principles upon which it was based.
Many of the market's supporters have inquired about the potential for a compromise or an alternative site. If you would like more information about the market organizing committee's thought process and rationale, please see our position paper.
