The Medford Lakes Farmer’s Market, Burlington County, is excited to meet and work with New Jersey farmers, growers and preparers to emphasize the importance of buying local. Participating in the Medford Lakes Farmer’s Market offers an opportunity to take part in a unique setting, where more than 5,000 people live within a 1-mile radius of the market location. Our residents and “regulars” look forward to knowing Market purveyors by name and to welcoming them back year after year.
The municipally sponsored market will take place on Saturdays, 8:30-12:30p, from June 18th through October 15th. The Market will be held on the southern half of Trading Post Way and will extend to Aetna Way. Trading Post Way is the Borough’s “downtown” business district. A full description of the Market Rules and Regulations is available.
Soon the Market will re-open for 2011. We encourage farmers, preparers, and artisans, to contact Market Vendor Relations for more information and to submit an application. Space is limited. Fees are $25 per Saturday or a seasonal rate of $270 ($15 per Saturday) available until June 30th when paid 10 days prior to purveyor participation.
Of note, The Department of Agriculture website provides valuable information on Minimum Food Safety Requirements for Product Sales at Community Farmers' Markets. The Medford Lakes Farmer's Market expects purveyors be familiar with and abide by these requirements.
To insure compliance with these requirements all selected vendors will be required to submit to and receive approval from the Burlington County Health Department prior to market participation. For more information please review the County's information package.
